Flawless and Pawless is delighted to announce that Primark’s PS beauty range has been officially Leaping Bunny Certified! I was invited to attend an exciting launch where the CEO (and my idol) of Cruelty Free International- the coordinators of the Leaping Bunny program- , Michelle Thew, announced the exciting and revolutionary news.
“If Primark can do this, anybody can.” Thew claimed- a statement that really settled in my mind that the world is recognising the demand for cruelty-free cosmetics. The beauty industry is going in the right direction.
The Leaping Bunny Program is the only internationally recognised cruelty-free certification program in the world, as the program scrutinises a company’s entire supply chain and requires ongoing independent audits from a company and its suppliers- so, as you can imagine, becoming Leaping Bunny certified is kind of a big deal. For those of you who follow me, you will know that Leaping Bunny is my certification preference when purchasing cruelty-free cosmetics, as time and time again it has always proven to be the most reliable certification in the world.
I am delighted to have teamed up with Primark to show you all some of the amazing products from the newly-certified PS beauty range. Not only this, but I will be showing you the products from the PS range that are cruelty-free dupes for high end, non-cruelty-free products. With almost every makeup item being priced under €6.00, and due to the brand’s high quality and excellent performance, PS is the one-stop beauty brand to transform your beauty kit into a cruelty-free collection.

PS My Perfect Colour Velvet Finish Foundation / Estée Lauder Double Wear
You may have heard about this uncanny dupe for one of the best-selling (but unfortunately, not cruelty-free) foundations on the market; Estée Lauder Double Wear. People love Double Wear as it provides excellent coverage, while staying in place for hours- but, the foundation can make the skin look a bit dry. The My Perfect Colour Mattifying Foundation is an exact dupe for Double Wear, but without leaving the skin looking dry! The foundation also contains SPF 30. It’s such a steal.
PS My Perfect Colour Mattifying Foundation, €6.00
PS Face and Body Strobe Cream / M.A.C. Strobe Cream
That’s right, kids. You don’t need to break the bank to get strobing. Primark’s Face and Body Strobe Cream has become one of my favourite makeup products of all time. The product comes in a variety of different colours to suit all skin tones, and it is easier to work with- in my opinion- than M.A.C.’s Strobe Cream. Perfect for use on the collarbones, shoulders, legs- oh, god damn it, just lather it on everywhere, it’s that gorgeous!
PS Face and Body Strobe Cream, €4.00
PS Brow Pencil / Benefit Precisely My Brow
This is the perfect eyebrow pencil for anyone whose eyebrows are sparse. The pencil is so, sooo skinny that one can literally draw on hairs, mimicking the natural growth of the brows. The versatile shades are suitable for all hair colours, and the little spoolie at the opposite end is perfect for combing the brows into place. The style of this Primark product is almost identical to Benefit’s Precisely My Brow eyebrow pencil- except this one is cruelty-free, and only €1.50. Bargain!
Primark PS Brow Sketch, €1.50
PS Sultry Lashes
For years, Primark’s Sultry Lashes have been my go-to strip lashes on my clients as a makeup artist. Not only are they probably some of the cheapest false eyelashes on the market, but they are ridiculously easy to apply. The lashes do not poke you in the eye as much as some more expensive strip lashes do, and their glue dries really quickly. While these lashes aren’t exactly a dupe for a high end product, they are different to many eyelashes on the market today; they’re synthetic. No mink, no silk. That is a winner.
Primark PS Sultry Lashes, €1.50
PS Easy on the Eyes Two-Phase Makeup Remover / Lancome Bi Facil Makeup Remover
Known to be one of the most popular makeup removers on the market, Lancome’s Bi Facil Makeup Remover is a staple favourite of both professional makeup artists and makeup lovers. While it may indeed be an efficient product, it is unfortunately not cruelty-free, so I was delighted to discover this gem from Primark’s PS range. Easy on the Eyes Two-Phase Makeup Remover removes makeup in one simple step, without the need to continuously rub the eyes. The remover disolves eyelash glue and waterproof mascara, and can even take off the most stubborn of liquid lipsticks.
Primark PS Easy on the Eyes Two-Phase Makeup Remover, €2.00
PS Lip Liner – Berry / M.A.C. Lip Liner – Whirl
Whirl is one of M.A.C.’s bestselling lip liners due to its gorgeous, neutral tone and long-lasting finish. It can be difficult to find a product that can amount to a M.A.C. lip liner’s reputation, but I strongly believe that PS’ Lip Liner in the shade Berry is one the best cruelty-free dupe I have found to date. The lip liner is practically identical in colour, and I can safely say that- after a few beverages on a night out- this lip liner does not budge. I only had to top it up after about three hours, which made my night out a lil’ bit easier!
Primark PS Lip Liner, Toffee, €1.50
PS So Peachy Blush / Benefit Coralista
Nothing screams ‘I’M HEALTHY!’ more than a natural, peachy glow. Primark’s PS So Peachy Blush is a powder, compact blush, that is identical to Benefit’s Coralista blush. I fell in love with not only the colour and quality of the blush, but its clever packaging; the container is extra bulky and doesn’t smother the blush itself, hence preventing breakage. This has been the first blush I have found that does not break when I drop it on the ground (yes, I deliberately threw it to test it) due to its practical packaging. Ideal for those who travel often!
Primark PS High Pigment Blush, So Peachy, €2.50
PS Fine Liner Pen / L’Oreal Super Liner Perfect Slim
When it comes to liquid liners, it can be difficult to find one that suits your own level of expertise. For those who are experienced liquid liner users, liquid liner pots and gel liners are heroes. But for those who can barely draw a straight line without their hand shaking, pen liners are the best option. This liner from PS is the most budget-friendly liquid pen liner on the market today, and it provides as good a finish as most drugstore brands. The liner is very similar to L’Oreal’s pen liner, which also has an ultra thin, slightly longer-than-usual felt tip. The colour is not jet black, but is black enough to compliment any eye makeup look. It lasts all day, too!
Primark PS Fine Liner Pen, €2.00
